Jennifer grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota that now runs corn and soybeans. She has been assessing and providing conservation planning since 2005. Jennifer has provided soil and soil health technical support with the NRCS in Minnesota completing site evaluations, soil health testing, and providing technical services and outreach to staff and producers. She also spent time analyzing profitability of conservation practices to help producers increase their ROI.
Jennifer is the Minnesota Soil Health Coalition Coordinator to provide administrative, educational, and outreach activities to support the Coalition and the voluntary adoption of soil health in Minnesota.
Jennifer Hahn, also the Middle MN Watershed Planner, works with the conservation offices and producers in Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Le Sueur, Nicollet, Redwood, Renville, and Sibley Counties. She will work with landowners and operators on their resource concerns, provide plans and designs to address those concerns, and connect the producers to programs for financial assistance. This includes feedlots, erosion control projects, ravine and streambank stabilization, soil health, pastures, nutrient and pest management, just to name a few.
